Radio Ad #2

I started listening to this Ron Paul Radio advertisment and thought, who would listen to a whole advertisment like this but, i guess people actually do. This guys voice sounds friendly and opening but very monotoned. There are not many pitches in his voice or different levels at all. But anyway, when he starts off he starts telling us about things that can or may be done in the future. But he says that if Ron Paul was voted for, then more things would be done. Like having better choices that would actually help the future rather than being told of what is going to be done. He says "amnesti for illegal aliens, voting for higher taxes, campaign finance reform that limits free speech for gun owners and home schoolers, more government spending, thats not leadership, conservative republicans need a choice." Then it goes on to saying what Ron Paul does that is good and reasons why you should pick Ron Paul. They even use good tactics on advertising this ad. They repeat his name over and over so the listener knows exactly who they are talking about. The ending is straight to the point. It says "Ron Paul, the conservative choice, call 877-Ron-Paul thats 877-Ron-Paul" and then Ron Paul himself says "i am Ron Paul and i approve this message." I think it is funny how at the end of each candidate advertisment they must approve what has just been said. But i dunt understand why they dont just advertise themselves. Why cant they be the ones that are speaking about what they can improve and what they do better than other? i would trust someone to make moves more if they spoke for themselves.

magazine ad #2

The magazine article i picked for this blog was very unique. This ad is for a mazda 3 car. This car looks much like a sports car and made me think of something being very fast. The ad has writing on it in two places'; the main picture and below it. The main part of the ad says: Got a spare pair of undies? and the bottom of the ad simply describes the car. The ad says: This is the new RX-7 SP. There are only 25 of them. And theyre very, very fast. So when you go for your first drive in one, be sure to take every precaution.
This ad is explaining how fast the car can go by saying that you might even pee your pants when taking your first ride in it. The car in this ad is white with all different designs and stickers. On the back of the car, the lisence plate is Triple, as in triple the speed is what i thought of or even the 3 for mazda 3. The stickers on the car show that this car is sponsered by many different business' which mean it is pretty good.
The mazda 3 symbol on the bottom of the ad is self explainitory. They never really had a symbol that was questioning considering it actually says mazda 3. This ad is unique because most mazda 3 cars look alittle bit more professional than this car looks. Most people buy a mazda 3 because it is a nice looking car. The advertisers are trying to sell these mazdas to not only people who like to drive fast but also to people who like to look good. I believe this ad is very affective and made me laugh alittle. To drive so fast to make someone sprinkle themselves would have to be a pretty fast ride.

Tv commerical #2

The Neosporin commercial I am writing about is definitely an affective advertisement. This new ad starts out by showing a playground and three mothers sitting on a bench. When a kid falls from the jungle gym the mothers all spin this new Neosporin as if it were a gun and they were cowboys from back in the day. Then they simply spray this medicine on the kid’s skin and he feels better. By showing a commercial like this people will most likely buy this product. The commercial is cute and is one that many would watch; being a mother, an aunt or just anyone. If someone without kids was to see this they would most likely recommend this product to another. Although this commercial is using this product to target it toward mothers, this brand is used for everyone. This commercial is showing the viewers that by using Neosporin their cuts will cure the kids immediately and the kids believe this also. A commercial like this one shows different types of this brand that can be bought for different uses and different senses. They do this because some people prefer many different things and without a few choices a customer may use a different brand that wants what they want. They do a good job with this commercial also because they don’t make the cut too gory so people may think its gross but they make it just right. Everything about this commercial is made perfectly and would definitely make people buy this product.

Magazine ad

This magazine ad I am writing about is very interesting. Although there is not much to it, it is still very successful and makes people want to buy this mini keg. The ad is a Heineken ad for the draught keg. This draught keg ad was pictured to look much bigger than a glass of beer, although it is probably a little bit bigger than the size of a glass. In this ad they are using a women’s hand directing this ad towards women. Because there are women who drink beer they decided to come up with a mini keg that woman would be able to finish. It looks classier for women to drink this rather than out of a big keg. The woman’s whish is being used is shown as a robot hand of some sort. It seems as if they are making it to look as if the keg is so easy to use, somewhat as if we humans were robots. The slogan for this ad is Chill, Click, Draught, Drink. It’s simply the directions for this keg in a few words. At the bottom of this ad it says “Draughtkegs unique carbonation system delivers perfect draught beer with an authentic tapping experience.” This is basically telling you that this mini keg is promising you a good time eventhough it is very tiny. Then it gives you the chill time which is 10 minutes and the lasting time which is 30 days. This gives the reader a chance to see just exactly what they are getting before they buy it.

Radio Ad

This radio ad is about Obama and is anti Clinton. It starts off with saying who he is which is good but goes right into putting down hillary. This whole radio ad is about putting down Obama which I believe makes Obama look bad. Everyone has flaws and by pointing out Hilary’s just makes everyone want to know Obama’s. This ad says that Hilary Clinton will say anything to get elected and that she makes false attacks upon Obama. Im sure that everyone makes statements about eachother and its stupid to show the world one of those because Hilary could go right back on Obama and talk about all of his flaws. The commercial states that Hilary said incorrect statements about Obama such as saying he liked the ideas of republicans which he did not. He actually went against the republican ideas and how the republicans want the world to be. It then again went on with saying Hilary’s mistakes and the wrong things she is doing for the world. They made a big statement against Hilary saying that’s he voted for the war in Iraq. Yes, because of this statement Hilary will probably get many votes from those who want to be there but not many from those who didn’t. This ad was strickly a negative ad toward republicans and I believe shouldn’t have been aired. Stuff like this just causes the world to fight about stupid things and causes hatred; isn’t that what we are trying to prevent? Although I think this ad was terrible, I do believe the ending was intelligent. The way they said, turn the page. As if they were done talking about Hilary and now Obama.

Tv commercial blog

I chose this television commercial not just because I thought it was a good commercial but also because my boyfriends in the army, so I love watching army stuff. This commercial is directed towards guys between 18 and 25 I believe. After 25 if you’re still playing video games religiously because you don’t have a job that might be a problem but I guess this can be veered toward them too then. This ad is trying to convince boys to become men by joining the army. This will make them “army strong.”
These boys in this ad are playing a video game with army people in it, when the army guy appears on the screen and seems to be talking to them. He says “You look like you’re really into this. You guys want a real challenge…” Then the commercial goes on talking about what you do in the army and shows these boys interesting things that they do. It is a convincing video considering it talks about the benefits they get afterwards like going to college and the army helping to pay for it.
This video shows women and men in the film but if they wanted it to be great they would have put a woman playing video games too. Or maybe they could have had a woman doing something other than video games so that more women would be interesting just like the men because when you first look at the ad you think it’s towards men and only men. This ad simply says to just call and find out information about it. It was a quick commercial but gets the point across.

Internet blog # 2

The Geico advertisements, in every way make me laugh. They are always enjoyable and entertaining. I chose to talk about this one because I heard one on the radio I really enjoyed so I looked up some commercials online. This ad is from the internet and is very adorable. First things first, the gecko is just very cute and makes the commercials fun. He has an awesome accent that women are attracted to, which makes it perfect. This little gecko is basically exciting for every one in a family; kids, wives and even husbands.
Now they chose a very good scenery if you ask me. The beach is a very relaxing place which makes the viewers also feel relaxed and interested. This ad comes straight out and says they help people save money which is what the world likes. Why not come out and say something to attract your listener right away? Then he goes on and talks about how he was invited to their wedding just because they saved so much money on their car. He was even asked to be the best man he says. This is showing the viewer how much people love this company and becomes part of the family.
He ends this ad by talking about friends and giving away money. Yhe point he is trying to get across with is a simple and fun ending and of course they use their slogan to finish it off, “Geico. 15 minutes could save you 15 percent or more on car insurance.” Nice clean ending and gets the point across. Who wouldn’t want that; Simple and easy.
